Gemma-Rose's Pancakes

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

"Mum, can I cook some pancakes for afternoon tea, please?" Gemma-Rose asks.

"Of course!" Mum agrees. We all love pancakes!

I have an idea, I grab my camera and follow Gemma-Rose into the kitchen. I could get some great photos of her cooking.

First, Gemma-Rose gets all her ingredients out so they're on hand.

Then she starts measuring them into a bowl. Four cups of flour goes in first.

Then eight eggs.

Lastly, she pours in four cups of milk.

Then she whisks it all together.

Over at the stove, Gemma-Rose ladles the batter into a frying pan.

She patiently waits while it cooks on the bottom before she flips it over.

Once it's cooked on both sides, Gemma-Rose puts it on a plate and starts to cook another one.

Soon the pancakes start piling up!

Soon we have enough to eat. They taste delicious with rice malt syrup and butter!

Do you like pancakes? What's your favourite treat?
